Commonly Asked Questions:

What is your Bail by Phone option?

If you’re out of town or not from the area and you wish to post bail for someone you care about, with Delaware Bondsmen you can do it right over the phone without leaving home! If you have a valid credit card and access to a fax machine you qualify! Ask our bondsmen when calling about this option if interested.

How is a bond structured?
Delaware Bail bonds are made up with two sections. One section is the 10% fee which is paid to us from the total bail amount. This can be paid in full or as a short term loan if you are unable to pay in full. The 2nd section is collateral. A big bond will need to be fully collateralized or a bond for someone with a criminal history. If we decide we don’t need collateral or feel its needed we will use a signature bond, which means we trust you without the need for collateral. The bond will then need to be collateralized fully, using whatever assets you might have or cash to fully back the bond amount. If we don’t feel collateral is needed, we will use a signature bond, which means that we trust you without the need for the backing of assets to protect us.
