Snohomish County Bail Bonds

Bail bonds are essential if an accused individual wants to avoid facing a jail sentence. It is a fixed amount which is paid to certain organizations which specialize in such legal loans. The bond is basically an agreement between four entities:

1. The bail bond company
2. The legal jurisdiction that holds your warrant
3. The bail co-signer
4. The Defendant

The last two are the individuals who are responsible for the assurance of your presence in your court hearings or appearances. However, you will have the option to pay for the bond yourself if you believe you can afford it. The amount is set by the court and which is usually dependent on the severity of the crime committed and if you are considered a flight risk. If you try to escape, an inmate search will be performed to find you as well as a revocation of any bail bound amount.

Useful Hint: If you turn yourself in once you find out you are on the wanted list, you will typically not be considered a flight risk. This may also reduce your bond amount but make sure to check with your attorney first.
